It was a usual morning for both Mannat and Sonal in their house,getting ready for work, sipping their black coffee and adrak chai the two of them were now all set to leave the house after breakfast when Mannat's phone started ringing like anything.

"Mata shri ko bhi subha hi brutland commission ki report chiye hoti h,aaarggh!!!" She said clearly annoyed.

"Pick up the phone minny, masi must be worried about her reckless daughter?" Sonal replied while gulping her tea with cookies.

Mannat stood up and recieved the call.

"Goooooddd mooorrnninggg mummmaaa!!" Mannat was clearly in the mood to annoy Simran ji today.

"Hnji puttar ji, very gud morning, mera sona baccha kidhar h zra bat krao usse?"Simran ji spoke on the other end clearly fed up with her daughter's morning energy.

"Lo ji,bhot wadiya!!! Mere nal twadi koi dushmani aai mumma?" Mannat was now sulking.

Sonal stood up from her place and snatched the phone from Mannat's and put it on loudspeaker.

"Good morning maasi!! Kese ho aap,sab changa?" Sonal spoke with affection.

"Hnji mera sona bcha sab changa sii,oo me twanu dasna chandi si ke iss Mannat ka na migrane ka problem bhot bad gya h,Jeet menu boleya ki sara din sir pakad ke bethi rhti h?" Simran ji asked Sonal clearly concerned.

"Haan maasi notice toh mene bhi kiya par yeh man nhi rhi thi bat meri,doctor ke paas jati hi nhi h??" Sonal complained while Mannat glared at her as if Sonal wouldn't survive anymore.

Mannat interrupted the conversation.

"Arey par aaj hum jaa toh rhe the na doctor se milne,kyu sona??"She spoke with a pair if scissors in her hand now.

And boom,Mannat was threatening sonal.

"Ooh haan,haan na masi? Hum niklne hi wale the,aap tension na lo bilkul bhi, 11 baje ka appointment h,haina minny?" Sonal blurted out,cleary freaking out.

Simran ji was now doubtful.

"Thike phir baccho,mujhe doctor se bat krwa dena jaakr,byie!" And with that she disconnected the call.

Dead silence.

Both girls were now looking at each other gobsmacked because no, their mom never lets things pass easily, chaped mar mar ke laal krdena h.

"No no no minny!!! Kenchi niche rakhde yarr!!"Sona was clearly traumatized by the last time she let Mannat touch her hair.

"Marjani ab doctor kaha se laungi me!!!"

"Oo sab chaddo madam,aaj Pune wali branch ka plot register krwane jana h,jldi chalo!!" Sonal reminded Mannat about her meet and finalisation of the cafe branch she decided to set up in Pune.

Yep,she owns multiple cafes all accross the country for which she had worked really hard over the last 4 years,since she was a college student, only 21 at that time.

Both girls left mid breakfast for work.

Inside Mannat's car

Mannat just dropped Sonal at her law firm,and now was heading towards her cafe.

The car came to a sudden halt as she saw a small kitten playing on the middle of the road.

And how could she resist such a beauty, she was a cat loverrrrr!!

She pulled up to the side and stepped out of the car,she went near the little creatue and picked it up in her arms.

"Hiii little baby!" She wispered slowly,careful not to hurt the kitty.

Just as she was about to turn around with the kitten,a young boy,maybe a college student, came towards her.

He spoke while gasping for air as if he had come running,"Gud morning mam I'm Vatsal Batra a college student here in Chandigarh I am greatly inspired by your cafe chains and wanna volunteer for a internship there so that I get to learn management trends and cafe business from the best mam please please please!!"

He blurted out everything in one go,no pause,no breath,he was clearly nervous.

Mannat held the cat in one of her hands and kept the other one on Vatsal's shoulder, she calmly said with a unreadable expression," Are you willing to work hard for this internship?"

He answered in less than a second,"Yess yess yess mam,surely!!"

Her expression cracked into a smile on his words and nervousness," Don't panic Vatsal,we can get started when you want,I hire you!"

"Really mam??"

"Yes. But I need to leave now, you can contact me,take this card." She said handing over her business card to him and left.

"Thank youuu bosss!!!"Vatsal shouted with a huge smile,clearly bubbling with excitement.

Mannat just turned around and gave a simple smile and left with the cat.

Vikram's car

Vatsal opened the door and hugged Vikram instantly.

"Kya krra h tu yeh,chorr Vatsal!!" Vikram scolded him while trying to free himself from his brother's grip.

"Arreeeeyy chone nhi pakadne ki oppotunity h bhaiya!!! Pata woh kon thi, The MANNAT SHERGILL!!!! Caffilicious ki owner Mannat Shergill bhai!!!!" Vatsal was on the ninth cloud today.

Meanwhile Vikram was lost in the sight,or lets say the phenomenal walking goddess he just witnessed moments ago.

"Mannat Shergill,huh?"words left his mouth even before him realizing.

"Haan bhai,but abse meri boss!! Yaayyy!!!"

"Hmm."

"Han ab chalo jldi aapko office bhi phuchna h time se!"

"Yeah,office."

Vikram's office

Vikram entered his cabin but his mind was somewhere else today.

(Typical love at first sight waala scene chlra h😭)

And suddenly from the cabin door emerges the reckless business partner of his.

Sambhav enters and makes himself utterly comfortable on the chair infront of him.

"Toh kaha reh gya tha tu?" He said sarcasticly.

"I had to drop off Vatsal to college this morning idiot!"

Vikram replied in his not so bossy tone, oddly sincere.

"Vikram bhai thik h tu? Aaj ek bar me seedha jawab?" Sambhav was actually shocked with Vikram's morning mood today.

"Han sab thik h ,Sambhav."

"Alright I guess?"

Awkward silence.

Vikram spoke up sensing the room for his doubt,and maybe his new interest,"Sambhav kisi Mannat Shergill ko janta h tu?"

Damn. Big mistake bro.

"Ooohhh terrriii!! Bhaii ladkiii??? Tuuu?? Kese????" Sambhav was now shouting out of the blue,visibly terrified due to the mention of a girl's name from his women-allergic bestfriend.

"Chuppp!!??? Muh band kr gadhe!!! Sun rhe h sab,Sambhavvv!!" Vikram was now clearly regretting his life decisions.

"Par bhai tu? Mtlb ladki? Mtlb kese? Mtlb kaha,kab,huwa kya?" Sambhav was still unable to stomach Vikram's random confession.

Well,it is reasonable for the poor boy to behave like this,he was the same Vikram who used to climb three floors just to escape his fangirls.

(Hnhn bhai,pata h Sambhav is being a bit too dramatic! par author jesa ek character toh bnta h na?🤓)

"Bas na bhai, koi chakkar nhi h, I just saw her, maybe attraction? Forget it! ....We have a client meeting with breakfast, let's just leave for now." Vikram was now changing the topic,trying to escape the trouble he had just invited himself.

"Not fair bro! Mtlb bhabhi mil gyi aur tu client ka bahana banakr topic badal rha h?" Sambhav was curious now.

"Koi bhabhi nhi mili h Sambhav,jldi chal!"Vikram said while picking up his files from the table and walking out.

Sambhav followed him immediately, whistling with joy.

He typed a quick text to their family group while walking,

'Ghar ki badi bahu mil gyi mitrajano!💥🌷'.
